I doubt this is the place to make this post, but I couldn't find any other community where I could reach UF students directly...

I want to transfer to UF asap. The UF site says that very few students with under 60 A.A. credits get accepted into UF. I want to know...what would it take to get accepted into UF with fewer than 60 credits?

(also, since it's relevant, i got my GED and wouldn't be able to submit high school transcripts...should i just bite my lip and suffer through another 7 semesters of community college or is there still hope?)

Freshman/Sophomore Applicants (Lower Division Students)
Transfer students with 13 - 59 transferable semester hours from a regionally accredited institution by the time they enter the university.

Requirements

* Foreign language proficiency
* Minimum of 1400 SAT or 33 ACT
* Minimum 4.0 high school GPA as calculated by the University of Florida
* Minimum 3.0 academic college GPA (with no deficit record at any institution)
* FAQ

Lower division transfer students must have been eligible for admission as a freshman. Admission is competitive based on the above criteria and an overall review. Requirements vary depending on enrollment. Please review the Undergraduate Catalog for further information.

Important Note for Lower Division Transfers: The number of spaces available for students transferring with fewer than 60 credit hours is very limited. Few freshman/sophomore transfer applicants are accepted. The university recommends that you complete an AA degree or at least 60 semester hours before applying.

Hope that helps! :)
